Law360, New York (October 22, 2010, 5:20 PM ET) -- Japan's economics minister reportedly urged the country to begin talks to join a free trade agreement that would cover the U.S. and countries in the Asia-Pacific region Friday, making him the latest top Japanese official to support the U.S.-led trade pact.
Economics Minister Banri Kaieda warned that Japan must demonstrate that it wants to take part in the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement before the talks progress too far, the International Business Times reported.
