Kaneka Hits Rival With ITC Suit Over Circuit Patents

Law360, New York (April 04, 2011, 2:51 PM ET) -- Japan's Kaneka Corp. filed suit against South Korea-based SKC Corp. in the U.S. International Trade Commission on Friday, accusing the rival of infringing patents related to polyimide film, which is used to make flexible electronic circuits.

The complaint alleges that SKC, which has a U.S. facility in Covington, Ga., has infringed Kaneka's patents by importing products into the U.S. and selling them in several U.S. states since 2008. The suit seeks a permanent exclusion order preventing SKC's products from entering the U.S.
