Law360, New York (May 19, 2011, 2:40 PM ET) -- Mosaid Technologies Inc. said Wednesday it had filed a complaint against Cisco Systems Inc. with the U.S. International Trade Commission, alleging infringement of six Mosaid patents covering computer networking technologies.
Mosaid has asked the ITC to issue an order stopping Cisco from importing products that allegedly infringe Mosaid patents that largely cover "Power over Ethernet" products or technology for wired Ethernet local area networks that allows electrical current to be carried over data cables, rather than over electrical power cords.
