Law360, New York (June 10, 2011, 9:25 PM ET) -- Hewlett-Packard Co. announced Friday that the U.S. International Trade Commission initially ruled that a Taiwan-based manufacturer and importer of ink-jet print cartridges infringed valid HP patents.
An initial determination, which is under seal, by ITC Administrative Law Judge Robert K. Rogers Jr. found that manufacturer MicroJet Technology Co. Ltd. directly infringed HP's patents covering ink-jet print cartridges and components. Another Taiwanese importer, Asia Pacific Microsystems Inc., was found to be a contributory infringer.
