US Truckers Take Mexico Border Reopening To DC Circ.

Law360, New York (July 07, 2011, 8:13 PM ET) -- A U.S. truckers association filed a petition Thursday in the D.C. Circuit protesting a deal that would reopen the U.S. border to Mexican commercial trucks, claiming the U.S. Department of Transportation failed to follow protocol before inking the agreement.

Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association Inc. lodged its petition just a day after Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood finalized a new program to allow Mexican cargo trucks to cross into the U.S. as long as they meet a variety of safety standards and other requirements.
