Apple’s Chief Patent Atty Plans To Leave: Report

Law360, San Diego (July 12, 2011, 9:19 PM ET) -- Apple Inc.’s chief patent counsel was reportedly set Tuesday to depart the company even as it is embroiled in numerous patent disputes spanning federal courts, the U.S. International Trade Commission and abroad.

Richard “Chip” Lutton Jr., who oversees the iPhone maker’s patent portfolio, plans to leave the Cupertino, Calif.-based company as soon as next month after 10 years, Reuters reported.
