Law360, New York (March 01, 2012, 1:04 PM ET) -- European rules governing the labeling of baby formulas and food for people with special medical needs should be better defined in order to protect consumers and provide clarity to manufacturers, European Parliament members said Wednesday.
The Public Health and Food Safety Committee unanimously voted to pass a draft text that would replace several existing pieces of European Union legislation in order to streamline and clarify labeling and nutritional information rules, the committee said in a statement.
