India To Challenge High US Visa Fees At WTO

Law360, New York (April 10, 2012, 3:06 PM ET) -- India reportedly said Tuesday it is planning to lodge a complaint against the U.S. at the World Trade Organization over increased visa fees for skilled workers, which it says are discriminatory and hurting its information technology industry.

Indian Trade Secretary Rahul Khullar told the Financial Times that India has previously tried in vain to convince the U.S. to kill the 2010 laws that increased the fees for H-1B and L-1 visas, which are often used by IT companies to bring workers to the United States....
