Congress Urges Open Trade, IP Protections Before China Talks

Law360, New York (May 02, 2012, 4:27 PM ET) -- Congressional leaders on both sides of the aisle this week encouraged the U.S. to push China to open its market to U.S. trade and to protect intellectual property rights as representatives from both nations prepare for a summit Thursday.

In separate letters, members of the Senate Finance Committee and House Ways and Means Committee Ranking Member Sander Levin, D-Mich., called on the U.S. to push China to open its market to U.S. economic participation when the two countries converse at the Strategic and Economic Dialogue meeting....
