House OKs $51B Spending Bill, Urges Action On China

Law360, New York (May 10, 2012, 8:19 PM ET) -- The U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday approved a $51.1 billion spending bill to fund the departments of Commerce and Justice, demanding that the agencies take a hard stance against China on trade and security matters.

The Republican-controlled House passed the spending bill — H.R. 5326 — by a 247-163 vote, cutting spending by about 3 percent over last year but increasing the money available to the International Trade Administration for anti-dumping and countervailing duty enforcement against China
