EU Hits Chinese Sweetener, Radiator Makers With Tariffs

Law360, New York (May 11, 2012, 4:39 PM ET) -- The European Union on Friday said it will increase tariffs on a Chinese artificial sweetener producer and impose provisional new duties against the country’s radiator exports in response to the dumping of these products on the European market.

In a pair of announcements in the EU’s official journal, regulators said they will increase anti-dumping duties against a Chinese exporter of the sweetener sodium cyclamate, and place new duties on aluminum radiators as a result of separate investigations finding certain companies are selling their merchandise at submarket...
