Senate GOP Blocks Iran Sanctions Bill

Law360, New York (May 17, 2012, 4:46 PM ET) -- Republicans in the U.S. Senate on Thursday blocked a bid to pass a strong sanctions package targeting financial institutions, shipping companies and others doing business with Iran, frustrating lawmakers' attempting to pass legislation before U.S. talks with Iranian leaders resume.
