ITC To Probe Toshiba, Samsung, Others Over Thumb Drives

Law360, New York (May 21, 2012, 7:03 PM ET) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission on Friday voted to investigate allegations brought by a Texas company that Toshiba America Inc., Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. and a host of other companies infringed two patents covering retractable USB devices.

Anu IP LLC said in its April 18 complaint that more than 30 companies and their subsidiaries — including Toshiba, Samsung, Yamaha Corp., Office Depot Inc., Sanyo Electric Co. Ltd., Olympus Corp. of the Americas, Lexar Media Inc. — infringed either one or both of two patents it holds...
