Law360, New York (May 22, 2012, 6:32 PM ET) -- Aland (Jiangsu) Nutraceutical Co. Ltd. became the first Chinese vitamin C producer to settle 6-year-old multidistrict price-fixing litigation Monday, agreeing to pay $10.5 million after the defendants' battle to convince the court of Chinese government-forced coordination ground to a halt in February.
The deal — which the plaintiffs filed for preliminary approval Monday — calls for Aland to pay the direct purchasers $9.5 million and the indirect buyers another $1 million.
