CP Kelco Urges Duties On Chinese, Austrian Xanthan Gum

Law360, New York (June 05, 2012, 8:16 PM ET) -- Georgia-based CP Kelco said Tuesday that it had filed a petition with the U.S. Department of Commerce and International Trade Commission pushing for anti-dumping duties on xanthan gum from China and Austria.

The petition demonstrates that xanthan gum from China and Austria is being sold in the U.S. at lower than normal value, according to CP Kelco. Xanthan gum has a wide variety of uses and can be found in toothpaste, condiments and agricultural chemicals as well as oilfield and industrial applications.
