Law360, New York (July 19, 2012, 3:50 PM ET) -- Xanthan gum imports hailing from China and Austria are having a harmful effect on domestic producers of the food additive, the U.S. International Trade Commission said Thursday in a preliminary determination.
The U.S. xanthan gum industry is being materially injured thanks to foreign shipments of the thickening agent that allegedly are being being dumped on the domestic market at unfair rates, the ITC said.
