Contractor MTS Strikes $8M Deal To Quash Federal Probe

Law360, New York (August 01, 2012, 8:14 PM ET) -- Material testing supplier MTS Systems Corp. has agreed to pay $7.75 million to settle an 18-month long federal investigation into its past government contracting practices and export controls, the company said Wednesday.

MTS said it was pleased to have reached an agreement in principle with the U.S. attorney's office for the district of Minnesota. The agreement still must be approved by the U.S. Department of Justice, the company said.
