11th Circ. Won't Hear Appeal Over $92M Alcatel-Lucent Deal

Law360, New York (August 03, 2012, 6:53 PM ET) -- The Eleventh Circuit on Friday shot down a Costa Rican state-owned utility's bid for victim status and restitution following a $92 million Foreign Corrupt Practices Act settlement between Alcatel-Lucent SA and the U.S. government, ruling that it lacked jurisdiction to hear the utility's appeal.
