Law360, New York (August 16, 2012, 9:27 PM ET) -- A former Morgan Stanley executive in China was sentenced to nine months in prison Thursday after pleading guilty to bribing Chinese officials to secure business, including part of a multimillion-dollar investment in a Shanghai building.
U.S. District Judge Jack B. Weinstein sentenced Garth Peterson, 42, a former managing director for the banking giant's real estate business in China, to nine months' incarceration plus three years of probation, according to Robert Nardoza, a spokesman for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York....
