Argentina Takes EU To WTO Over Spanish Biodiesel Ban

Law360, New York (August 20, 2012, 2:07 PM ET) -- Argentina filed a challenge against the European Union with the World Trade Organization on Friday, formalizing its previous complaints that a Spanish ban on Argentine biodiesel is discriminatory.

The WTO reported that Argentina had requested consultations with the EU over concerns that the ban unfairly favors EU biofuel producers over rivals in Argentina, violating international trade rules.
