Law360, New York (August 21, 2012, 7:58 PM ET) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission said Tuesday it would look into allegations that Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Nintendo of America Inc. and a slew of others have been importing wireless consumer electronics devices that infringe a microprocessor patent.
The ITC said it would launch a investigation into a complaint from licensing partners Technology Properties Ltd. LLC and Patriot Scientific Corp. that Samsung, Nintendo, Amazon.com Inc., LG Electronics Inc. and nine others had ripped off their patented design for microprocessor clocks.
