Commerce Asked To Probe Greek, S. Korean Cement Imports

Law360, New York (August 27, 2012, 9:48 PM ET) -- Texas Industries Inc. said Monday that it had sent a letter through its subsidiary TXI Operations LP to the U.S. Department of Commerce and the Interagency Trade Enforcement Center, asking that Commerce launch an investigation into cement imports from Greece and South Korea.

The company pressed for Commerce to self-initiate anti-dumping and countervailing duty investigations of unfairly priced gray portland cement coming from Greece and South Korea, according to TXI.
