Law360, New York (September 20, 2012, 1:55 PM ET) -- Realtek Semiconductor Corp. asked the U.S. International Trade Commission on Thursday to launch an investigation into claims that LSI Corp. and Seagate Technology LLC have been importing integrated circuit chips that infringe Realtek's patents.
Taiwan-based Realtek says LSI and Seagate have been selling imported hard drives, data storage systems, servers and others computing products made with chips that incorporate Realtek's patented components, called bond pad structures and level shifter circuitry.
