Law360, New York (September 26, 2012, 8:18 PM ET) -- A Washington federal judge on Wednesday threw out a case brought by lobbyists seeking to overturn an Obama administration ban on federally registered lobbyists serving on trade-related advisory committees, finding the policy does not infringe their constitutionally protected rights.
U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson granted the government’s motion to dismiss the action, finding the lobbyists failed to make their case that the policy banning lobbyists from serving on Industry Trade Advisory Committees infringes upon their rights under the First Amendment.
