ITC Probes Dumping, Subsidy Claims On Chinese Plywood

Law360, New York (October 02, 2012, 9:17 PM ET) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission launched preliminary antidumping and countervailing duty investigations Thursday focused on hardwood plywood from China, in response to a petition from domestic companies who want the U.S. to slap duties on the Chinese imports.

The Coalition for Fair Trade of Hardwood Plywood lodged a petition with the ITC and the U.S. Department of Commerce, claiming that the hardwood plywood imports at issue are being sold in the U.S. at less than normal value and subsidized by the Chinese government.
