Law360, New York (February 27, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- A judge with the U.S. International Trade Commission has determined that the final patent-at-issue in a dispute between Whirlpool Corp. and LG Electronics USA Inc. over refrigerators does not cover LG's products.
Administrative Law Judge Theodore R. Essex ruled that Whirlpool's U.S. Patent Number 6,082,130 for refrigerator ice storage bins does not cover LG's products, the consumer electronics maker said. The ruling was posted on the ITC's Web site Thursday under seal.
