Kodak's Digital Camera Patents Invalid: Samsung

Law360, New York (April 21, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. has fired off counterclaims in Eastman Kodak Co.’s patent infringement suit over digital camera technology and asked the federal court for a yearlong stay pending the outcome of a related proceeding before the U.S. International Trade Commission.

Samsung asserted on Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York that it had not infringed Kodak’s two patents, saying the patents are invalid and unenforceable.
