BASF, DuPont Squabble Over Corn Patents

Law360, New York (June 01, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- BASF Plant Science GmbH and rival chemical giant DuPont Co. have filed patent infringement suits against one another in a battle over technology related to herbicide-resistant genetically modified corn.

The parties filed separate suits Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, each asserting that the other’s patents are invalid and that its own patents have been infringed.
