Vizio Wins Temporary Stay In Digital TV Patent Spat

Law360, New York (June 11, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- A federal appeals court has temporarily stayed an exclusion order against Vizio Inc. set to take effect Wednesday in a dispute with Japan's Funai Electric Co. Ltd. over a patent for digital television receivers.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit on Wednesday granted the company's emergency motion for stay while it considers arguments on whether the U.S. International Trade Commission's orders should be stayed for the duration of the appeals process.
