Dozens Of Tech Giants Sued Over Wireless Patents

Law360, New York (July 08, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- WIAV Networks LLC has accused dozens of technology giants — including Apple Inc., Dell Inc. and Sony Corp. — of making and selling products that use wireless technology that allegedly infringes two WIAV patents.

Reston, Va.-based WIAV filed its complaint Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, claiming that a vast array of the defendants' popular products use technology covered by U.S. Patent Numbers 6,480,497 and 5,400,338.
