Law360, New York (July 10, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- National Semiconductor Corp. has settled infringement actions filed by computer chip designer LSI Corp. and its subsidiary Agere Systems Inc. over a chip method patent, resolving their dispute before the U.S. International Trade Commission and in federal court.
On Wednesday, the companies jointly moved to dismiss Santa Clara, Calif.-based National Semiconductor from the ITC's investigation into the alleged infringement, saying that they had reached a license agreement ending their dispute. Details of the agreement are confidential, the motion said.
