Fed. Circ. Refuses To Stay Vizio TV Ban For Appeal

Law360, New York (July 29, 2009, 3:23 PM ET) -- A federal appeals court has denied Vizio Inc.'s request to stay a U.S. International Trade Commission exclusion order barring certain digital television products from the U.S. while the company appeals a ruling that it infringed a Funai Electric Co. Ltd. patent.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit had granted Vizio a temporary stay in June while it considered arguments on whether to keep the exclusion order on hold during the appeals process, but the court decided Wednesday to deny a stay pending appeal....
