Law360, New York (October 17, 2006, 12:00 AM ET) -- Reed Smith LLP stands to significantly beef up its intellectual property practice with the acquisition of a Chicago-based mid-sized law firm, if the deal is approved by both firms’ shareholders.
The agreement to merge with Sachnoff & Weaver was announced on Tuesday, and a shareholder vote at both firms is planned for November. If approved, the firm will look to be fully integrated by March 1, 2007.
