ASCAP Loses Bid To See AT&T, Apple IPhone Deals

Law360, New York (September 03, 2009, 3:57 PM ET) -- A judge has batted down a discovery request by the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers to access agreements between AT&T Mobility LLC and Apple Inc. regarding AT&T's data plans for Apple's iPhone device, as part of ASCAP's suit seeking a determination of music licensing fees for ring tones from cell phone service providers.
