Law360, New York (September 08, 2009, 7:44 PM ET) -- Semiconductor packaging company Carsem Sdn Bhd can use expert testimony that says rival Amkor Technology Inc.'s patent claims are obvious, the U.S. International Trade Commission has ruled.
Administrative Law Judge Charles Bullock on Sept. 3 denied a motion from Amkor to strike the testimony of Dr. Kenneth Gilleo, who has said Amkor's patents are obvious in light of a patent held by ASAT Inc. and various other references.
