Law360, New York (September 17, 2009, 6:33 PM ET) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission investigative staff has endorsed a proposed settlement between Multitest Electronic Systems Inc. and Cognex Corp. in a patent infringement case over machine vision software, which allows machines to “see” in order to perform automated tasks.
The staff on Wednesday filed its response to an Aug. 31 joint motion to terminate the investigation, in which Multitest became the first respondent of the nearly 20 named in Cognex's May complaint to reach a settlement.
