Law360, New York (September 18, 2009, 1:44 PM ET) -- Shortly after filing a lawsuit against Twitter Inc. claiming the company was liable for trademark infringement because it allowed a user to communicate under the username “Oneok,” the oil and gas producer is asking the court to drop the case altogether.
Oneok voluntarily dismissed Twitter without prejudice from the lawsuit Wednesday, though the company did not give any reason for dropping the case, which was filed Tuesday.
Representatives for Oneok did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
