Tessera, Others Seek ITC Review In DRAM Spat

Law360, New York (September 21, 2009, 1:34 PM ET) -- Tessera Inc. and several dynamic random access memory manufacturers have asked the U.S. International Trade Commission to review an administrative law judge's initial determination that the manufacturers did not infringe three Tessera semiconductor chip packaging patents.

Other manufacturers — Centon Electronics Inc., Kingston Technology Co. Inc., Ramaxel Technology Ltd. and SMART Modular Technologies Inc. — asked the International Trade Commission Sept. 17 to affirm Administrative Law Judge Theodore Essex's Aug. 28 initial determination without review.
