Pioneer Doesn't Infringe Honeywell GPS Patents: ITC

Law360, New York (September 25, 2009, 5:24 PM ET) -- An administrative law judge of the U.S. International Trade Commission has ruled that Pioneer Corp. and Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc. have not infringed any of several Honeywell International patents related to automobile GPS.

Administrative Law Judge Theodore Essex issued an initial determination on Tuesday holding that Pioneer's importation of certain automotive multimedia display and navigation systems does not violate Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930 by infringing any claim of the four patents asserted by Honeywell in the ITC proceeding.
