Inventor Hits Target, Others In New Online Security Suit

Law360, New York (October 08, 2009, 1:49 PM ET) -- Inventor Leon Stambler has launched another expansive infringement suit against a slew of retailers — including Target Corp., Ticketmaster Entertainment Inc. and Amazon.com Inc. — accusing them of violating two patents related to keeping information secure during online transactions.

The complaint — filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas — targets nearly two dozen companies along with their holding companies, Web site units or other subsidiaries.
