After Blackberry Victory, NTP Sues Palm For Infringement

Law360, New York (November 06, 2006, 12:00 AM ET) -- Echoing a patent-infringement case it won against the maker of the popular Blackberry, NTP Inc. has filed a lawsuit against Palm Inc., alleging that it too is infringing its patents related to receiving wireless e-mail.

The lawsuit, filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, seeks an injunction and recovery of monetary damages for the infringement of intellectual property firm NTP’s patents, which cover e-mail systems with radio frequency communications to mobile processors.
