Law360, New York (October 29, 2009, 4:34 PM ET) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission announced Thursday that it would investigate whether Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. has been importing ceramic capacitors that infringe four Murata Manufacturing Co. Ltd. patents.
The investigation, which was prompted by a petition Murata filed on Oct. 1, will be assigned to one of the ITC's six administrative law judges, who will reach a preliminary determination. That determination will be subject to review by the full commission.
