Ltd. have convinced a judge that the sole patent asserted by plaintiff Honeywell International Inc. in a long-running lawsuit over liquid crystal display technology commonly used in devices like laptops and cell phones is invalid.
U.S. District Judge Joseph J. Farnan Jr. of the District of Delaware signed an order Tuesday granting Samsung SDI and Fujifilm's motion for summary judgment of invalidity based on the on-sale bar.
