Law360, New York (November 16, 2009, 4:52 PM ET) -- Pioneer Corp. has asked the U.S. International Trade Commission to investigate portable GPS products imported by Honeywell International Inc. and Garmin Corp. that allegedly infringe three patents covering navigation technology.
The Tokyo-based electronics company, along with its Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc. subsidiary, filed a petition Friday requesting an exclusion order to halt the imports from coming into the U.S., as well as a cease-and-desist order barring the respondents from distributing products that are already in the country.
