Novartis Wins Herpes Drug Patent Fight Against Teva

Law360, New York (November 19, 2009, 6:23 PM ET) -- A jury has sided with Novartis AG in a suit it filed claiming Teva Pharmaceuticals USA Inc. infringed the patent for its genital herpes drug Famvir by seeking regulatory approval to market its own generic version.

The jury in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey found in favor of Novartis and against Teva on Wednesday.
