Law360, New York (December 01, 2009, 2:45 PM ET) -- Whetstone Electronics LLC has agreed to drop claims against Inca Digital Printers Ltd., one of 30 original defendants in a suit accusing computer printer makers of infringing two patents related to computer-printer communication.
Texas-based Whetstone and England-based Inca filed a joint motion asking the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas to dismiss Whetstone's infringement claims with prejudice. The parties also moved to drop Inca's counterclaims and asked the court to waive any right to appeal.
