Law360, New York (February 02, 2010, 1:16 PM ET) -- After a series of unfavorable decisions, Avante International Technology Inc. has agreed to settle patent infringement litigation involving the touch-screen aspects of its electronic voting machines.
Magistrate Judge Thomas C. Mummert III of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri signed an order Friday that dismissed with prejudice all claims brought by Avante against the defendants, Premier Election Solutions Inc. and Sequoia Voting Systems, along with all counterclaims.
