Arlington Fires Off Declaratory Suit Over Cable Patent

Law360, New York (February 05, 2010, 12:35 PM ET) -- Arlington Industries Inc. has launched a suit asserting it is not violating Electronic Custom Distributors Inc.’s patent covering a connecting device for cables.

Scranton, Pa.-based Arlington, which makes electrical fittings and connectors for the installation of low-voltage cables, filed a declaratory judgment action in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania on Tuesday, claiming ECD’s patent — titled “Method and system of a detachable nose plate” — is invalid or not infringed.
