Law360, New York (February 10, 2010, 3:52 PM ET) -- A federal judge has found that Burlington Coat Factory Warehouse Court violated Fendi SRL’s trademarks by selling counterfeit handbags obtained through unauthorized retailers despite a previous injunction, awarding the Italian luxury brand treble damages.
Judge Leonard Sand of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York entered summary judgment in favor of Fendi on Monday, ruling that Burlington knowingly infringed Fendi trademarks by selling counterfeit bags and other leather goods in violation of a 1987 consent judgment and injunction.
