Prosperity Bank Strikes Deal In Messaging Patent Suit

Law360, New York (March 18, 2010, 12:04 PM ET) -- Prosperity Bank has become the first defendant to strike a deal in a suit brought by Wolf Run Hollow LLC accusing a dozen financial institutions of infringing a patent related to the transmission of secure online messages.

Judge T. John Ward of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Tuesday signed an order dismissing all claims against Houston-based Prosperity Bank and Prosperity Bancshare Inc., noting that the parties had signed a nonexclusive licensing agreement March 11.
